The Research Center Pharmaceutical Engineering (RCPE) is an interdisciplinary research

institute in the area of pharmaceutical process- and product-development in Graz, Austria.

Our goal is to establish technology to transform current product and processes development

approaches in the pharmaceutical and diagnostics industries into a science-based endeavor

together with our partners.

We are looking for an active, highly qualified

SENIOR LEADER (M/F)

PHARMACEUTICAL PROCESS ENGINEERING

with the ability to work independently and as a member of an international research team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead an interdisciplinary team of senior researchers (up to 20 H/Cs, senior and principle scientists)

Drive and lead the implementation of platform knowledge in the field of advanced manufacturing and

process science (e.g. continuous manufacturing, PAT, simulation science, processing and product

scale up and optimization)

Understand fluid mechanics and particle-based simulation methods (CFD, DEM, SPH, MD, etc.)

Ensure high level peer reviewed scientific publications

Build strong network and collaboration with academic and industrial KOLs

Support the business development (e.g. industrial partners facing, scientific leadership, etc)

REQUIREMENTS:

University degree with preferred emphasis on pharmaceutical sciences

Minimum 5 years of industry experience in development and/or manufacturing of solid dosage forms

and innovative technologies, coming form Pharmaceutical development or Mfg groups

Profound understanding of pharmaceutical processes and product requirements

Excellent track record of innovation, creativity, problem solving and productivity in projects

Excellent presentation skills and scientific/technical writing skills

Previous experience with continuous manufacturing and engineering processes is an advantage

English – fluent; German - desired but not required
